Into The Storm

Richard Armitage stars in a tornado thriller due for release in the USA on 8th August 2014.

He plays Gary Morris, a widowed father who, with the help of storm chasers, tries to rescue his son after a string of tornados devastates the town of Silverton.

The film, originally entitled Category Six, then Black Sky, and now Into the Storm , uses found footage of tornados. It's directed by Steven Quale and produced by Todd Garner for New Line/Warner Brothers.

It was filmed mainly on location in Michigan during July, August and September 2012. Reports and pictures of location filming can be seen at Oakland Press, Oakland Township-Lake Orion Patch and Rochester-Rochester Hills Patch. It's been reported that Richard Armitage began shooting pick-ups for the film in August 2013.
