The Vicar of Dibley"I spent four weeks laughing my face off. Dawn is such fun to work with; there's a little child inside her who comes out when she gets on the set. It was hard to keep a straight face."[1]Richard Armitage played Harry Kennedy in the two final episodes of The Vicar of Dibley, broadcast over Christmas 2006. The first of the two episodes, The Handsome Stranger, was the most watched programme on British TV on Christmas Day. The second episode, The Vicar in White, was broadcast a week later on New Year's Day. The Christmas episodes of the Vicar of Dibley won the Golden Rose Award in the Comedy category at the Rose D'Or international television festival 2007. The Vicar of Dibley (and Harry) made one final appearance on television, on Red Nose Day, the culmination of Comic Relief 2007. See the Comic Relief page for further details.
An excerpt from a documentary first broadcast on BBC One in January 2007, and included on the DVD of these two episodes, Holy Wholly Happy Ending. Dawn French, Richard Curtis and Richard Armitage discuss Geraldine's marriage.
